Starquest Slot Review
Starquest is one of Big Time Gaming’s many MegaWays slots. However, aside from the potential surplus of lines, you might not have noticed given that the features available are vastly different from BTG’s other offerings. Loosely themed on an intergalactic adventure, Starquest contains vivid, impressive graphics but the gameplay falls a touch short and lacks some of the magic found in its counterparts.
In terms of its theme, Starquest reminds us of BetSoft Gaming’s Arrival. There may be fewer Martians and more space exploration going on in this release, but the similarities are there. Of course, there are naturally similarities between this and other MegaWays games, too, but oddly enough, not as many as you might like.
Starquest is a game which is considerably more straightforward to get to grips with than some of the major MegaWays games. Despite that, it is highly volatile, and something of a let-down. It teases features and wins, but players might have a bit of a hard time landing either.
How to Play Starquest
Starquest utilises the MegaWays mechanic, so there are naturally six reels and a potential 117,649 ways to win on each spin. Having a crack at this slot game will cost anything from 0.20 up to 40.00 a turn, and as mentioned, it is a highly volatile slot.
Plenty of playing card icons can dish out smaller wins, but it is the gemstones which result in the better prizes being paid out. The SQ Triangle symbol is the one to watch here, as it can deliver the best prizes. In total, up to 20,000x a bet can be won.
There is only one special symbol in the slot, but it does offer quite a bit of action, making it worth a closer look…
- Wilds – The space adventurer is the wild, and she can appear fully stacked on the second to fifth reels. Wilds can also boost wins courtesy of a multiplier, which we will come to in just a moment.

Starquest Slot Features
Starquest uses the MegaWays mechanic, which means that on each spin, you could potentially end up as many as 117,649 lines in play. Moreover, you can win in both directions, which will not hurt your chances of success.
Unfortunately, there is no cascading symbols system in play in this game. Any win you receive will see you land a prize, but the winning icons do not disappear; thus, you cannot prosper from collapsing reels.
There are other features to be had in Starquest, though. Let us examine them…
Wild symbols can boost your wins by adding multipliers into the mix. These can range from 1x up to 5x the rate of pay. That alone is good news, but it gets better. If you were to land several wild symbols at once, the multipliers they offer would multiply together, giving your win an epic boost and getting you closer to the 20,000x non-progressive jackpot.
There is a distinct lack of bonus rounds in this game. There is one more to look at, though. The Re-Spin Wilds Bonus is triggered whenever a fully wild reel appears. Once it does, all reels which do not feature wilds will re-spin, and a multiplier will be added.
Any additional fully wild reels you get will see subsequent re-spins given. This will end once no new wilds appear and is a bonus which is very reminiscent of the one which appears in NetEnt’s Starburst.
As far as bonus rounds and added goodies, that is all you are going to get, and this does leave Starquest a little bit flat, especially when compared to other MegaWays games.
