Golden Hero, which has been operating under the veil of Oryx Gaming for a while, brings players a whole different kind of game. Wild Fusion will take you on a wild ride with its unique features and fun modes.

Wild Fusion takes place inside what appears to be some kind of space lab. The blue color overtakes the display but is “interrupted” by the cute small floating robot with bright green eyes. The logo can be seen on top of that while the actual but rather small play area is located in the middle of the screen. The gate-like reel set closes and opens up with each spin.

The slot doesn’t actually resemble any other title significantly but the gameplay did remind us of NetEnt’s Finn and the Swirly Spin as both games share the same symbol mechanics. Other than that, it manages to retain a somewhat unique character.

If you’re wondering who this game is for, let us just say that not everyone will enjoy it. In fact, it is designed in such a way that those who will fall for it are none other than avid modern feature fans. Sure, Wild Fusion is fun as hell, especially when you trigger one of the bonus modes but if you are keener on the classics then this may not be for you. We do recommend you give it a try though!

How to play Wild Fusion

Based in the Bahamas, Golden Hero studios couldn’t be lacking that exotic and different feel that characterizes its titles. Even though it now is part of the Oryx Gaming (Bragg) family, it still manages to release fresh and fun slots.

Even though saying this feels somewhat wrong, the slot features 5 rows and 5 reels forming a square playing area. The concept of paylines is thrown out the window since wins aren’t formed conventionally. They are created when at least 3 identical symbols line up horizontally or vertically.

The UI differs quite a bit as well. Even though the controls are found at the bottom of the play area, they are split into two sections with one consisting of the basic buttons (spin, stake, autoplay) and the other with the actual gameplay information and options.

Stakes start at just 0.20$ and can go up to 100$ per spin. Wild Fusion is a game of medium variance meaning both small and large wins can happen at random intervals. To be honest, we were extremely lucky since we hit about 10 spins before getting a 70x win, and a few moments later we hit a 15x so it’s safe to assume the slot in question will keep you entertained for a long time.

In total, Wild Fusion offers 9 regular symbols. These are split into two categories, the low-paying ones (triangle, rhombus, hexagon, circle) and the high-paying (same shapes of different colors and 3 connected golden discs) while the special symbols are:

• Wild/Multiplier Wild – Represented by the purple vortex, the symbol will substitute others to create or improve upon winning paylines. It takes on a unique role during bonus modes.
• Yellow wild – Converts itself and a random number of regular symbols into wilds.
• Green target – Removes itself and all regular symbols in a 3×3 or 4×4 area around it.

Note: Special symbols can appear after any cascade and they will activate once there are no more winning combinations.
