Second Strike Slot Review

Are you fed up with all those modern slots? Do you seek the classic slot experience but with an interesting touch? If you answered yes, then you might be in luck because Quickspin has created a game similar to what you’ve been searching for.

The game might not look like something extraordinary at first sight but we guarantee that you will have a blast playing it. The first thing you will notice is the reel set which is neatly organized in the center of the interface and is surrounded by a series of symbol indicators. The background consists of a bunch of alternating pink and purple light beams. The logo of the game is found above the reels.

As for the mechanics, the game works like any other classic slot but with a small twist, more about which we’ll talk in the features section. Other than that, the reels spin altogether and come to stop individually in consecutive order. The winning symbols become animated and trigger an audio effect.

Quickspin isn’t new to the slot scene as they have created multiple titles similar to the one in question. If you’re interested in finding more about them then make sure to check out Sevens High and Diamond Duke. For now, let’s focus on our subject though.

How to Play Second Strike

The game consists of 3 rows and 5 reels with 10 fixed paylines. Players can use the controls found below the reel set to adjust the bet size, enable the autoplay and turbo spin features, check out the paytable or simply spin with a few more options being accessible through the in-game menu.

As for the betting range, you can stake as little as $0.10 or as much as $100. Second Strike is a high volatility title. This means that the win frequency might be smaller but the potential earnings will most likely be bigger than those of most other slots. The RTP of the game is 96.26% and the maximum exposure is a bit over 1,200x your stake.

Second Strike features 4 low paying and 4 high paying symbols. The first come in the form of cherries, a plum, grapes, and watermelon while the latter are represented by a bell, a star, lucky number 7, and a diamond.

Second Strike Features

As mentioned previously, Second Strike isn’t like your regular fruit slot. It might seem like it is but, in reality, a lot is going on under the hood. You see, the series of symbol indicators found around the reel set play a special role, and here it is.

Second Strike Feature

This feature is initiated on any symbol line win. If after the win the outer wheel marker stops on the same symbol as the initiating line win, then more of these symbols are added to the reels.

Based on the number of winning symbols in the payline, you will be awarded the following number of symbols:

  • 3 of a kind – 6 extra symbols
  • 4 of a kind – 8 extra symbols
  • 5 of a kind – 10 extra symbols

So, judging by this, in case you missed it, the chance of getting a full screen is fairly high since there are 15 positions on the reel set. So if you get a 5 of a kind payline win then the rest of the positions will be filled with the same symbol.

It is worth mentioning that wild symbols aren’t present on the outer wheel. Also, wilds and symbols that are part of the Second Strike win will not be replaced by the extra symbols which make getting a full screen win even easier.
