The Invisible Man Slot Review
The Invisible Man is part of NetEnt’s partnership with Universal Studios and the game is inspired and based on the 1933 film of the same name. So, you better start spinning because the more you stall the quicker the potential wins dematerialize.
The game, just like the film, is based on the same principle, a scientist’s experiment that went terribly wrong by turning him into an insane invisible murderer. The game takes place in his lab with several potions brewing in the background. The reels are surrounded by payline indicators while the logo of the game can be seen at the top left corner of the screen.
Mechanics-wise, the game works like most other slots. That is, the reels start spinning at the same time and come to stop individually in consecutive order with winning symbols becoming animated and triggering a short audio effect.
This isn’t the only title produced in partnership with Universal Studios. You can check out an array of other NetEnt slots inspired by famous films. However, we would like to recommend Dracula as we think it is one of the best in its genre. For now, though, let’s focus on the game in question.
How to Play The Invisible Man
The game consists of 3 rows and 5 reels with 20 fixed paylines that pay both ways. The controls are found below the reels allowing players to adjust the bet size, enable the autoplay or max bet functions, spin, or enter the in-game menu for further gameplay customization.
The Invisible Man features 5 low paying and 5 high paying symbols. The first come in the form of card values 10-A followed by characters from the film. In detail, these are Mr. and Mrs. Hall, Dr. Cranley, Arthur Kemp, and Flora Cranley.
The game’s special symbols are:
- Policeman and Griffin Wilds – These can only appear on reels 1 and 5 accordingly. They substitute for all symbols.
- Fire Wild – A special wild that appears during the police spins.

The Invisible Man Features
The game’s features are somewhat confusing so without further ado let’s crank into each of them!
Police wilds appear on reel 1 and move one place to the right at the start of each respin. Griffin wilds appear on reel 5 and move in the same way but to the left instead. If the two symbols happen to merge in the main game, the feature is triggered awarding 10 free spins.
If this happens again during the feature then 4 additional free spins are awarded. Also, during the free spins, both wilds can appear anywhere on the reels.
At the start of the feature, 2 meters will appear above the reels. Each meter has 8 spaces and corresponds to one of the two wilds. Once a wild moves off the reels, 1 space of the corresponding meter is filled.
If 1 of the meters is filled before the feature ends, a corresponding bonus feature will be triggered at the end of the free spins.
The bonus game is triggered by filling the Griffin wild meter. The game takes place in 3 different locations (the mansion, Lions Head inn, and Epping station) where the player is prompted to click on 1 of 5 items, revealing a prize.
These prizes can be:
- 3 coin win of various amounts
- A 1x multiplier increase
- A police hat
Coin wins are added to the total coins collected during the feature. Picking a coin win, the player can pick again. The police hat ends the current stage. The default multiplier is 1x. Picking a multiplier increase allows the player to pick another item. The maximum possible multiplier is 4x. At the end of the bonus game, all coin wins are multiplied by the active multiplier.
