Dracula Slot Review

NetEnt has teamed up with its folks working over at Universal Studios to create a stunning and immersive slot similar to none other. Get ready to meet Dracula, the original vampire, as he hunts around the city, stalking his prey and finally attacking to deliver the killing blood-sucking blow.

After a short animated intro, the main game launches featuring Dracula on the left side of the reels and a red-haired lady on the right side. Above Dracula, you’ll also find the game’s logo while on the sides of the reel set you’re going to find the slot’s payline indicators. Based on the current mode, the visuals of the slot can change accordingly.

As for the mechanics, Dracula works like most other slots as the reels start spinning altogether and come to stop individually in consecutive order with winning symbols becoming animated and triggering a short audio effect. The game also features a binaural auditory experience.

This is part of the Universal Monsters mini-series developed by NetEnt but you can find multiple spin-offs such as Stakelogic’s “Dracula”. Still, none of the competitors can surpass the success of the game in review. Let’s check it out!

How to Play Dracula

The game consists of 4 rows and 5 reels with 40 fixed paylines. The controls can be found below the reel set allowing you to adjust the bet size, enable the autoplay or max bet functions, check out the paytable or simply hit the spin button!

As for the stakes, bets start at $0.20 and go all the way up to $200 per spin. Dracula is a low to medium volatility game meaning that winning but small in payout wins will occur frequently. The maximum exposure is fairly low at 200x ($80,000) but the RTP is somewhat larger than this of other slots at 96.58%.

Dracula features 4 low paying and 5 high paying symbols. The first come in the form of card values J-A followed by a beggar, a drunk, a rich woman, Dracula, and the red-haired lady.

The game’s special symbols are:

  • Wild – The wild is represented by the W letter and it can appear anywhere on reels 2, 3, and 4. It substitutes for all symbols.
  • Stacked Wild – The stacked wild is represented by the Dracula and Lady symbol. It only appears during free spins.

Dracula Features

Despite the amazing visual experience that the Dracula slot offers, the game doesn’t have that much going on for itself regarding bonus features. Still, the ones it does offer can be fairly rewarding. Let’s take a look at them!

Free Spins

The free spins can be triggered by getting the stacked Dracula and Lady symbols to fully appear on reels 2 and 4 accordingly. This awards 10 initial free spins.

The stacked wild symbol can only appear on reel 3 and if it is fully visible then it activates 2 additional free spins. Also, it substitutes for all symbols and pays the highest possible winning combination on a payline.

Bat Feature

The bat feature can be randomly activated and can only be activated once per base game spin. During the free spins, the bat feature is activated once per round.

When the feature has been activated, bats will fly in and land on random positions on the reels forming a cluster formation. All bats in the cluster transform into the same randomly chosen symbol. The random symbol can be the wild as well.
