On every spin, a 3-position hotspot will be randomly placed somewhere on the reels. Each winning symbol inside the crime zone activates an item from the clue list. Based on the number of activated clues, the crime zone might expand to a total of 4 or 5 positions.
If there aren’t any wins after a spin, the mystery symbol transforms into a random regular symbol. If the mystery symbol lands inside the crime zone, then it clones itself throughout the entire crime zone and then reveals a random symbol.
Located at the left side of the reel set, the clue list is a meter indicating the progression towards the free spins feature.
When 3-6 clues have been activated, the crime zone expands to cover 4 spots. When 7 or more have been activated, the crime zone then expands to cover 5 spots. Moreover, when 13 clues have been activated, the player is awarded 6 free spins.
During the feature, a multiplier is activated and the crime zone always covers 5 positions. The multiplier starts at 1x and grows by one for every 7 locations.
