Flame Busters also comes with a randomly triggered modifier. This will only occur in the base game, so you should make a note of that. Once activated, you will see one of the lower-paying symbols transform into a fire icon. Again, this can happen to multiple emblems on the reels and will transform them all into the same one. The Fire Drill modifier is, in many ways, identical to the mode offered in the free spin round.
You will need 3, 4 or 5 alarm bells to start this mode with 10, 15 or 20 spins. Once triggered, the round allows you to collect further scatters. You will undoubtedly want to do this, as every three you pick up will unlock a brand-new floor and give you two additional spins to boot. Every floor unlocked also transforms the lowest paying icon available into a fire symbol.
Fire icons are essential. Any which appear (and are extinguished by the firefighters) will transform into the same symbol. This should see you essentially pocket wins with mystery icons.
