Beauty and the Beast Slot Review
Belatra Games is here to give you… drum roll, please… Beauty and the Beast. The classic fairytale comes alive on your screen and on top of entertaining you for hours, there is a very good chance it can help you get richer as well.
Players will immediately realize that this is far from a standard slot, not just because of its great partly unique theme but for many other aspects as well. Kicking things off with the visuals, the transparent reel set provides an amazing view of the beast’s palace standing quiet and depressed under the night sky. The logo of the game is “inked” in gold sitting on top of the slot’s actual playing area.
As you might have expected we can’t avoid comparing it to the much more popular Yggdrasil slot of the same name. However, the only thing that seems to be identical is the base theme as they look nothing like each other.
Sure, the game might look a bit outdated but in no way does it look bad or boring. It’s full of lively colors and a few animations reminiscing those older classic fruit-themed slots we used to play a decade back. Who is it for? We believe anyone keen on fairytales or fantasy, in general, should give it a shot. We did and found it to be quite soothing and enjoyable.
How to play Beauty and the Beast
Contrary to what Belatra Games has made us used to, this slot slightly differs. The main difference is the presence of 40, unfortunately, fixed paylines. This enhances the gameplay and the chance of hitting big wins.
The 4-row, 5-reel arrangement used here emits a fresh aura, something much needed for the supplier who lately seems to be lacking the motivation to create special titles.
Regarding the interface, things follow the same old pattern. A horizontal line filled with the controls (spin, autoplay settings, bet adjustment) located right underneath the reel set with some extra options like, for example, the table of information, that players can clearly make out on the top right corner of the overall display window.
Moving on to the icons of the game, you’ll notice loads of them. The low-paying symbols come in the form of 10-J-Q-K-A followed by the book, clock, mirror, and ring whilst the highest-paying ones are Belle and the Beast. The special symbols are:
- Wild – Represented by the Beast, the wild symbol (also the highest paying one) acts as a substitute for creating or improving upon winning paylines.
- Scatter – The red rose is the game’s scatter symbol. Getting at least 3 fully stacked reels with roses will trigger the bonus mode.

Beauty and the Beast Bonus Modes
Even though the game can “easily” provide a max win, or at least, much easier than in other games of higher volatility, it does provide an extremely good bonus mode, the free spins.
Contrary to what you may have expected, here the number of free spins you get and the special stacked symbol (not expanding!) can be decided either by the player or randomly by the algorithm.
The special symbols are the mirror, the ring, Belle, and the Beast. The more valuable a symbol is, the fewer free spins it corresponds to. However, if you select the mystery option you might be lucky and get up to 72 spins with a random symbol.
Consisting of two wheels filled with prizes, the progressive jackpot mode awaits for you to try it out. You will gain access after betting a set amount of money during the session. Land on the arrow and gain access to the second wheel where the grand jackpot awaits!
