How to Play Son of Midas
The game consists of 3 rows and 5 reels with 20 fixed paylines. The controls are split into the top and bottom row of the screen allowing players to enter the in-game menu, spin, adjust the bet size, enable the autoplay and turbo spin functions.
Son of Midas features 6 low paying and 3 high paying symbols. These are represented by 3 different silver coins, a chalice, a vase, and a harp followed by the maid, Midas, and son of Midas. These symbols can also appear in the form of a Mega 2×2 symbol.
The slot’s special symbols are:
- Wild – The wild can appear both during the base game and free spins. It will substitute for all other symbols except for the bonus and scatter in order to form or improve upon winning combinations.

Occasionally on winning spins that don’t trigger any features, the son of Midas will appear and award a random prize to the player. Prizes include:
- 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x spin amount
- 2.5x, 5x, 10x bet amount
- Spell fails (no prize)
If the spell fails then the son of Midas will try again. If it succeeds you will receive one of the other prizes, otherwise, no prize will be given.
During each spin, a magic frame overlay will move over the reels landing at random positions on the reels. If a wild lands in the frame it will activate one of the following 3 features:
- Symbol Upgrade – Upgrades the lowest ranked symbols on the reels until a win is made.
- Random Wilds – Adds 2-5 (or 3-5 during free spins) wilds on the reels before the win is evaluated.
- Golden Reel – Awards a spin at the wheel of prizes that can award free spins, multipliers, or a bonus game trigger.
Getting 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols will trigger the feature awarding 10, 20, or 30 free spins accordingly. The feature can be retriggered by getting 3 or more scatters to land.
Landing 2 bonus symbols anywhere on the reels during the base game will trigger the bonus picker game. The bonus symbols don’t appear during the free spins. During the bonus picker game, the player will be presented with 3 prizes to choose from. The prize can be a win multiplier starting at 5x and going all the way up to 500x.
