Minotaurus Slot Review

Join Theseus in his attempt to find and slay the Minotaur living in King Minos’ maze. Wear your armor, sharpen your sword, and with the help of Princess Ariadne, get ready to slay the foul beast.

This is a beautiful slot provided by Endorphina as it is created with detailed 3D models and smooth animations. Acting as the backdrop, you find yourself in front of a tunnel, possibly part of the maze, with two torches located on columns placed at the sides of the entrance.

The logo of the game is found on the top of the screen written in Greek letters. Right below it you’ll find the reels, each one equipped with a transparent black background.

As for the mechanics, all the reels start spinning together and stop individually in consecutive order. The stacking wild becomes animated and smashes the ground, making the reels spin again.

If Greek mythology sounds like an exciting world of adventure then choosing this slot should be a safe bet. Let’s see how it works.

How to Play Minotaurus

The game features 3 rows and 5 reels with 10 fixed paylines. Using the controls located at the bottom of the screen you can select your desired bet and check out your current balance or last win. Other options include the autoplay and quickspin features with further customization being available using the in-game menu.

Bet limits start at $0.1 (minimum line bet) and go up to $100 (maximum line bet).

This is a high volatility slot and we can back that up as during our tests it took us around 20 spins to get a win which was pretty big at 88x our total bet. That said, the maximum base game win is $10,000.

Moving on to the symbols, due to the game’s high variance, there are 6 high-paying and only 4 low-paying symbols. Starting with the lower-paying symbols, they come in the form of card values J – A.

The high paying ones consist of a shield, a warrior’s helmet, Ariadne’s ball of string, a maze, princess Ariadne, and finally, Theseus.

There is only a single special symbol. This is:

  • Wild – The slot’s wild symbol couldn’t be anything other than the Minotaur himself. It appears stacked in reels 2, 3, and 4 only. It will substitute for any symbol to create winning combinations.

Minotaurus Features

As the game only has a single special symbol, the number of bonus features couldn’t be big either. Here are the two offered features.

Free Re-Spins

The wild can only appear as a stacked symbol on reels 2, 3, and 4 and create multiple winning combinations. After they are paid out, the re-spin feature will be activated.

During this bonus, the wild will remain stacked at the same reel and the spins will continue. For every spin that doesn’t win the Minotaur will jump and smash the ground, increasing the win multiplier by 1x.

This will continue up to the point you get a winning spin which will be multiplied by the active multiplier of that spin. There isn’t a limit to the active multiplier so the potential payout can be very high!

The highest chance of a big win occurs when the wild appears on reel 4. The re-spin bonus can’t be retriggered during the feature.

Free Re-Spins
Risk Game

Similar to other Endorphina slots, this title also features some form of a gambling feature. This will be activated after each winning spin. The player will have the option to fight the Minotaur for a chance to double his win or cash out his win immediately.

If you choose to gamble, you will be transferred to a different screen where you’ll be presented with the Minotaur on the left side facing Theseus who’s standing on the right side.

If you click start you will either get a scene of Ariadne telling you that you won or a scene of the Minotaur saying you lose. You can continue to gamble for a chance to double up your win for up to 5 rounds.

However, if at any point you lose then you won’t receive any winnings including the bet of the spin that activated the feature. Of course, you can choose to take your earnings after any round you won.
