Voodoo Slot Review

Have you ever played around with magic? Do you want to take part in mystic rituals to affect your life or curse an enemy? Now, you can catch a glimpse of the majestic world of Voodoo. Be careful though as the reels may hide more than plain harmless symbols!

Visual-wise, Endorphina’s Voodoo slot is stunning. In the background, you can see a full moon lighting up what seems to be a field decorated with wooden sticks going through human skulls. A series of candles can be seen at the top of the screen of which a yellowish-green smoke leads to the game’s logo placed right in the middle.

A green vine border encases the reels while at each of the sides of the dashboard you’ll find a column of bullet points that indicate the active paylines.

Regarding the mechanics, the reels spin all together but stop one at a time in consecutive order while the symbols participating in a winning line become animated. The game shares almost identical graphics and gameplay as its brother slot “Voodoo Dice”.

If all this sounds interesting to you, then keep on reading as now we will explain how the game is played.

How to Play Voodoo

Voodoo is a 3-row 5-reel slot with 10 non-fixed paylines. The controls are located at the bottom of the screen. From left to right you’ll find the active paylines and bet per line selection, total bet indicator, last win, and a turbo option (quickspin).

There also are two more options that change depending on the current conditions of the spin. Normally they have the form of the autoplay function and the spin button. If the current spin contains winnings then the options will take the form of “take risk” and “take win” buttons.

More options regarding the sounds, animations, graphics, and autoplay parameters are all accessible via the in-game menu.

Bet limits start at just $0.01 (minimum bet per line, 1 line) while the maximum is $100 (maximum bet per line, 10 lines). The game has high volatility and the maximum win you can get is 200x the winning line’s bet which is around $2,000.

Moving on to the symbols, there are 5 low-paying and 5 high-paying. The former comes in the form of card values 10-A while the latter consists of a raven, a voodoo doll, a tiger’s head, a snake, and a woman. This slot only offers a single special symbol. This is:

  • Scatter – This slot’s scatter symbol which also acts as a wild is a male voodoo practitioner. It can substitute for any other symbol in order to create winning combinations. Also, getting 3 or more will activate the free games feature.

Voodoo Features

Endorphina sure knows how to keep players hooked as both of the provided features are equipped with highly-detailed and smooth animations. Let’s take a look at them.

Free Games

Landing 3 or more of the scatter symbol will award 10 free games. During those, when symbols form a winning combination, appearing from left to right, even if they aren’t part of an enabled payline will transform into stacked symbols and fill in the entirety of their respective reels.

Contrary to the base game, instead of the highest one, all earnings from enabled winning paylines are paid. Also, the feature can be retriggered during the free spins any number of times.

Risk Game

Previously we mentioned that any time you win, two of the control options will transform to “Take risk” and “Take win” buttons. If you choose “Take win” you are awarded the winnings. However, you could also choose the “Take risk” option which will start up a gambling mini-game.

You will be presented with the dealer’s card and 4 hidden cards. You will then pick one out of the four available cards. The goal is to beat the dealer’s card.

If you manage to draw a card with a higher value your winnings are doubled and you can continue to play the mini-game for up to 10 rounds. Otherwise, you can simply choose to stop and take the winnings you have gathered up to this point. If you continue and manage to win all 10 rounds your earnings could be up to more than $10,000.

If at any point the dealer’s card value is bigger than yours then you lose all winnings including the base one. You should also know that the probability of the cards being dealt is not equally distributed.

In the case of a draw, no one wins and you can attempt to either double up or back off. Last possible scenario, you get a Joker which wins all other card values. The dealer can never have a Joker.
