With so many different MegaWays games on the internet, being able to play one which is wholly different is a breath of fresh air. Big Time Gaming’s Holy Diver slot does things differently to other MegaWays releases. It takes some getting used to, but there is certainly originality on show here.
Holy Diver is loosely themed on a knight’s quest, and visually it stands out from other MegaWays slots. There is a large bar located below the six-reels which our knight can journey along. He will open Chests of Fortune as he goes, and these can provide a handful of goodies. Levelling up is also important in this game, and you will see why shortly.
There really are not any other MegaWays slots quite like Holy Diver. The game features far more ways to win than virtually all other titles in this genre, and the array of features and how they are triggered is also unique. How to Play Holy Diver
There is nothing original or inventive about the gaming controls in Holy Diver. However, this is not a bad thing, as the setup and layout of the menus offer a touch of familiarity to regular MegaWays players, and there are plenty of other avenues for uniqueness and creativity here.
One of the standout things to note is the alterations to the MegaWays engine.
Instead of a maximum 117,649 paylines, you could potentially spin the drums with as many as 586,971 lines in play across Holy Diver’s six reels.
Moreover, having a pop on the game costs as little as 0.10 a spin, and no more than 20.00 a bet. As with all these types of games, high volatility is the name of the game.
Gemstones and high playing card symbols may up unusually dull emblems on the reels. You will also note that there are no special symbols in the slot. That is not a problem, though, as we do not require them to trigger the goodies.

Holy Diver Slot Features
Even though there are no wild emblems or scatters to speak off in the base game, Holy Diver does carry special features, and these are easy enough to trigger. Most come from a Chests of Fortune mode, and all you need to do that is spin the reels.
Below the reels is a landscape box featuring a knight. Every spin you make will see your knight walk along the path until he encounters a Chest of Fortune. Once he reaches one, he will kick it open to reveal modifiers and goodies. Any of these features are then applied to the second to fifth reels, and they include:
Symbol Replacement – One of the lower-paying icons in the game will transform into a wild. All instances of it will also become wild symbols.
Sword Bonus – As many as three entire reels could turn wild with the Sword mode. Moreover, a multiplier worth up to 7x the rate of pay can be applied to wins featuring wilds.
Fireball Bonus – This will add several wild symbols to the reels of the game, and hopefully, promote a few wins to boot.
Gem Bonus – Like the symbol replacement mode, this added perk will transform all instances of one high paying symbol (gemstones) into wilds. Provided you have levelled up, you could also land 2x or 3x multipliers on those wilds.
When kicking open the chest, the knight may stumble across gemstones. These become attached to a shield on the left-hand side of the screen.
Once full, you can choose to Level Up or opt for a free game round. There are three levels, so it is worth levelling up quickly as the higher your rank, the better the bonuses become.
If you opt to play the free game mode instead of levelling up, you will get 10 free games with all gemstones turning wild on the second to fifth reels. However, if you have reached Level 2 or 3, you will get 2x and 3x multipliers on those wild wins.
Your hero can also collect diamonds in battle during this round, with 4 or 5 diamonds offering an extra spin or eight extra spins and added symbols.
