Hidden Slot Review
Join Professor Taylor and his nephew Benjamin on their trip to Cairo. Help them explore the pyramids and try to find the missing golden topstones. Will you succeed in finding them and solving what could be the greatest discovery in the world’s history? Spin to find out!
After a quick trailer providing some context to the game’s plot, players are welcomed to the Great Pyramid of Egypt. In the background, you can see a few palm leaves and various small plants surrounding what appears to be the entry to the pyramid. The reels occupy almost the entire screen. The majority of the symbols are decorated with a hieroglyphic-patterned backdrop.
As for the mechanics, the reels start spinning altogether and appear individually from the bottom up in consecutive order. Winning symbols become briefly animated and trigger a special audio effect.
The game’s pyramid exploration-theme reminded us of Play’n GO’s Book of Dead so make sure to check this one out too as soon you’re done reading our review of Hidden. Let’s see how the game works.
How to Play Hidden
The game has 4 rows and 5 reels with 178 ways to win. The main control buttons are scattered on the screen’s corners giving you the option to change the bet size, spin, activate, and tweak the autoplay parameters, or access the in-game menu for even further gameplay customization.
Clicking on the bet selector gives you access to four preset betting strategies designed by Elk Studios. These can be found in all their games and once activated will automatically adjust your bet based on your current remaining bankroll and the last few spin results.
Bets start at $0.20 and are capped at $100.
Hidden is a medium volatility slot with a hit frequency of 24% which means you can expect frequent wins of varying amounts. The maximum exposure is 2,150x the bet amount so you can win up to $215,000!
The game consists of 5 low paying and 4 high paying symbols. The first are represented by card values 10-A while the latter come in the form of the Sphinx, a camel, Benjamin, and Professor Taylor.
The slot’s special symbols are:
- Wild – It substitutes all other symbols except for the scatter symbol. It can only appear on reels 2, 3, and 4.
- Scatter – The slot’s scatter symbol is represented by a magnifying glass and a map. It appears on reels 2, 3, and 4. Getting 3 scatter symbols activates the Treasure Room Free Spins bonus game.

Hidden Features
Elk Studios has equipped this game with two extra features. Let’s check them out.
This feature can be randomly triggered between normal mode spins. Up to 3 of the middle reels can be covered with sticky wilds. They remain there for 3 spins.
Additional wilds that appear during these spins will not become sticky wilds. Also, the feature can be retriggered within the same spin.
By getting the 3 scatter symbols you are awarded 5 spins at the start of the bonus game. For each magnifying glass symbol that appears during the bonus game, you are awarded an additional free spin.
At the beginning of the feature, one of the symbols present on the screen (excluding the magnifying glass scatter symbol) is randomly selected. After each spin’s payout, the selected symbol can randomly expand vertically and horizontally. All other symbols are cleared and the expanded symbols fall. New symbols fall in to replace the empty spaces and the new result is paid out.
The Treasure Room Free Spins bonus game ends when the player has no free spins left.
