The game offers three interesting bonuses that work in perfect synchronicity. The avalanches are triggered whenever there are wins on the line, and this at the same time increases the win multiplier, as long as your combinations come on consecutive spins. The free falls, on the other hand, give you a chance to score prizes with a minimal bet on a single round.
This feature has been copied to countless other games, and it also explains why Gonzo’s Quest has become such a hit. The slot retains its popularity from one year to the next simply because the avalanches just keep on giving.
How does it all work then?
Whenever you score a winning combination on a spin, which is three to five symbols on an active payline, the wins are paid out. After this the symbols that take part in the combination explode away, leaving space on the reels. New ones will then drop down to fill up the reels, with new symbols dropping in to fill the empty space. This gives you a chance to score more wins. Simple as that!
What makes the feature even more interesting is that every consecutive win comes with an additional multiplier. The first win will pay normal prizes, the second one doubles them, the third one triples them and a fourth consecutive win will pay 5 times the original. And like said above, during the Free Falls the maximum multiplier goes to 15!
In effect, the free fall is the same as free spin, but with a bit of a twist. During this feature the maximum multiplier is increased to 15, making the max win 37,500 times your line bet. In an ideal situation, you only have to spin once to score ten spins!
