Tower Quest Slot Review

Set in a medieval era, Tower Quest is a game filled with adventure and immersive fights. Wizards practicing dark magic and dragons blowing out fire are just a couple of the intriguing things you’ll find. Spin to find out more!

Visually, the game is as simple as it can be since the background consists of a few mountainous areas being slightly visible in the distance due to the thick fog. Things get more interesting when your eyes fall on the reel set at the sides of which you’ll find two vials, each with a black dragon resting on top of them. The logo of the game can be seen at the top middle of the screen.

Mechanically, the game works just like most other slots in the industry. That is, the reels start spinning altogether and come to stop individually in consecutive order with winning symbols becoming animated and triggering a short audio effect.

Another game featuring somewhat similar visuals is the much more popular “The Green Knight” also developed by Play’n GO so make sure you check it out. For now, though, let’s focus on the subject in question.

How to Play Tower Quest

The game consists of 3 rows and 5 reels with 20 fixed paylines. The controls can be found below the reel set allowing you to change the bet size, enable the autoplay function, check out the paytable, or simply spin. Further customization options are available through the in-game menu.

Regarding the stakes, you can bet anywhere between $0.20 and $100. Tower Quest is a medium volatility title with a fairly high hit frequency meaning that winning spins might occur regularly but they won’t award much. That said, the most you can win in the game is 500x your stake while the RTP is somewhat low at 96.24%.

Tower Quest features 4 low paying and 5 high paying symbols. The first come in the form of card values J-A followed by an orc, a skeleton, a dragon, a male, and a female warrior.

The game’s special symbols are:

  • Wild – Represented by the tower symbol, the wild has the length of a full reel (3 positions), but it can still appear on the board partially. It substitutes for all symbols except for the bonus and the scatter.
  • Scatter – There are 2 scatters represented by the blue and red potion bottles. Each of them is collected and a number of those can be redeemed to activate special features.
  • Bonus – Represented by the evil wizard, getting 3 of these will trigger the bonus game.

Tower Quest Features

Before we move on to the features, it’s worth mentioning that this slot is quite fast-paced. Since it offers multiple bonus modes, the gameplay doesn’t become dull as time goes by and it remains interesting and entertaining. Let’s see what it has to offer.

Scatter Modes

Every time a scatter appears, it will be collected and the correspondent vials at the sides of the reel set will progress by 1 level. The blue vial consists of 15 levels while the red consists of 30 levels but both of which are divided into 3 parts.

In order to activate a bonus mode, you will need to have filled the selected vial by at least one full part.

Based on when you activate the blue vial, you will be awarded:

  • The Tower – 1 free spin with the middle reel being wild and a 2x win multiplier
  • Battle of the Wilds – 1 free spin where all the high paying symbols act as a wild
  • Towers of Dark Power – 1 free spin with reels 1, 3, and 5 being wild

Based on when you activate the red vial, you will be awarded:

  • Empowered Wilds – 5 free spins with a 3x win multiplier
  • Wild Adventurers – 5 free spins with the male and female warrior symbols acting as wild symbols
  • Everburning Wilds – 5 free spins with a new sticky wild appearing at the start of each spin

If you haven’t activated any of the bonus modes, then the third mode will be automatically activated as soon as the correspondent vial has been filled.

Bonus Game

At the beginning of the game, you will be prompted to choose your character among the male and female warriors, each of which has a special ability. The game consists of 3 rounds.

At the start of each round, you will be dealt 6 cards. Rolling the dice will determine which 3 cards you will play. If you roll the same number more than once then the selected card is played this number of times and your warrior’s special ability is activated.

Each card has an attack and health value. The cards fight against the evil wizard’s cards and based on who wins you are awarded a coin prize.
