How to Play Sharky
Sharky has 3 rows and 5 reels with 9 non-fixed paylines. The controls can be found at the bottom of the screen allowing you to change the number of active paylines as well as the bet size. You can also activate the autoplay function which unfortunately doesn’t feature any customizable parameters.
Bet limits start from 1 coin per line and go as high as 100 coins per line for a maximum bet of 900 coins.
Moving on, the game has 5 low-paying symbols coming in the form of card values 9 – K. There are only 3 high-paying symbols which consist of a treasure chest, a parrot, and a pair of swords.
There also are many special symbols. These are:
- Wild – The slot’s wild is a pirate symbol. It will substitute for all symbols except for the scatter symbols to form winning combinations.
- Scatter – This slot is different from others in the sense that it has 3 separate scatter symbols. These are represented by a ship, an island, and a compass.

The game offers two bonus features, both of which are fairly innovative compared to industry standards. Let’s take a look at them.
Getting a ship and an island symbol will award 10 free games. These scatters can only appear in reels 1 and 5 respectively.
During the free games, the ship symbol will activate a special effect as it becomes animated and lowers a pirate onto the reels. The pirate rows across the reels, one position per spin, and will remain in play until he goes out of the game’s bounds or gets attacked by landing on the shark symbol.
The rowing pirate works like the base game’s wild symbol and it will substitute for all symbols except the three scatters. If the pirate is adjacent to a treasure chest symbol then you will be awarded anywhere between 2 – 450 coins depending on your current bet.
All scatter symbols including the compass can form winning combinations from both directions and scatter wins will be added to payline wins.
After each winning spin, you will be prompted to either take your win or gamble for a chance to double it up to five times. If you choose to gamble you will be presented with a flashing hidden card.
You can either choose “Red” or “Black” and if the color suits that of the card when it’s revealed you will double your profit. After each correct guess, you can either continue to gamble or take your winnings and exit the mini-game.
However, if at any point you lose then all winning up to that point including the bet of the spin that triggered the feature will be lost.
