Oliver’s Bar Slot Review
Grab your friends or special other and sit down for a relaxing experience. Let Oliver dazzle you with his amazing cocktails filled with tropical fruits and drinks. Enjoy a refreshing mojito and jump back into the action by spinning those reels to win big!
Novomatic has been around longer than most other slot providers and this shows when you play Oliver’s Bar. The whole game looks like a traditional slot machine with the only background graphics being a static image of a few outlined palm tree leaves. The game’s logo is found at the top of the screen while below it you’ll see the reels encased in a black box.
Mechanics-wise, the slot operates like a classic machine as all the reels spin together but stop individually in consecutive order. At least symbols that take part in winning paylines become animated.
If you like bar-themed slots then you might enjoy NetEnt’s “Swipe and Roll” as well as Microgaming’s “Cash Splash”. Now, let’s take a look at how Oliver’s Bar works.
How to Play Oliver’s Bar
The Novomatic slot has 3 rows and 5 reels with 9 non-fixed paylines. The controls can be found at the bottom of the screen allowing the player to select the number of active paylines, choose bet size, and activate the autoplay function. Unfortunately, the latter doesn’t come with any customizable parameters.
Bet limits start at just 1 coin per payline and go as high as 200 coins for a maximum bet of 1,800 coins.
Oliver’s Bar is a low to medium volatility slot so you can expect regular small wins. That said the maximum win is awarded if you get 5 Oliver symbols and is equal to 1,000,000 coins!
Moving on, the slot has 6 low-paying symbols which are represented by cocktail condiments such as cherries, orange slices, strawberries, olives, lime, and star fruit. There also are 3 high-paying symbols consisting of a couple, 3 friends, and Oliver himself using a shaker.
As for the special symbols, you’ll find:
- Wild – The slot’s wild symbol is a tequila sunrise cocktail. It can substitute all symbols except for the scatter to form winning combinations.
- Scatter – The slot’s scatter symbol comes in the form of a “Happy Hour” neon sign. Getting 3 or more of these will activate the free games feature.

Oliver’s Bar Features
The game comes with two bonus features and even though the base game can yield some pretty generous wins, these can prove very rewarding as well. Let’s take a look at them.
3 or more of the scatter symbol will activate the free games feature which awards 20 free spins alongside a 4x win multiplier. What’s even more interesting is that the feature can be triggered again during the free spins.
This is counteracted by the fact that you will only be paid the highest win per active payline though.
Just like other Novomatic slots, this one is equipped with a form of a gambling mini-game. This can be activated after each winning spin giving the player the option to either take his winning or gamble for a chance to double them.
If you choose to gamble you’ll be presented with a hidden flashing card. You will then be prompted to choose what color the card will be when revealed. You can either select “Red” or “Black” and if your guess correctly then your winnings are doubled.
You can then continue to gamble for a chance to win even more money or you can take your winnings and exit the mini-game. If, however, at any point you lose then all winnings including the bet of the spin which triggered the mini-game will be lost.
