The game consists of 3 rows and 5 reels with 20 fixed paylines. As seen on other titles of the same developer, the controls are mostly found on the right side of the screen allowing the player to set the preferred bet amount, enable the autoplay function, spin, tweak the audio settings, or enter the in-game menu for further information and gameplay customization.
Hootie’s Fortune features 6 low paying and 3 high paying symbols. The first come in the form of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries as well as a bear, a deer, and a fox followed by 3 different owls.
The slot’s special symbols are:

Hootie’s Fortune Features
The game works in a peculiar way we rarely get to see in online slots. Still, even though it may sound a bit confusing at first, let us try to explain it as simpler as we can.
The 3 jar multipliers found above the reel set correspond to three symbols each. These are:
- Red jar – Corresponds to the owl wearing red, the fox, and the strawberry
- Blue jar – Corresponds to the owl wearing blue, the deer, and the blueberries
- Pink jar – Corresponds to the owl wearing pink, the bear, and the raspberries
All 3 jar multipliers start at 1x. Line wins with the strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry symbols are collected. Every 33 points contributed to the associated jar increase its multiplier by 1x. Any wins including the other corresponding symbols are multiplied by that multiplier.
Also, after all points have been contributed, all jackpot wins are multiplied by the sum of the values of the three multipliers. After a contributing win, the associated jar resets to 1x with 0 accumulated points.
Getting 3, 4, or 5 bonus symbols will trigger the feature awarding 7, 12, and 20 free spins accordingly. During the free games, there are three multiplier meters each corresponding to the owl of selected color and the associated coin symbol. At the start of the feature, all multipliers are set to 2x.
For each golden egg symbol collected during the base game, a random multiplier is increased by 1x. At the start of each free spin, after the first, there is a chance that a random multiplier increases by 1x. Other than that, everything works as in the base game multiplier feature.
