Robin Nottingham Raiders Slot Review

Once you launch the game chances are you’ll immediately guess who the developer is. Most Peter and Sons titles have that aura about them, if you can even call it that. So, what makes this one unique?

The game takes players on a journey to medieval England with the famous outlaw Robin Hood and a band of various characters. Designed with high-quality graphics in an animation-like style, the story takes place deep inside a small town or, presumably, a village near the local market. The symbols appear moving slightly on the slots which is something that gives it a grasp of life without making it too confusing.

As we’ve said in another review of a Peter and Sons title, the developer deserves the exposure it gets since it constantly dares to be original. By that, we meant to say that this slot doesn’t resemble any other game that comes to mind other than Xibalba and Valkyries both of which were produced by the same provider.

It is true that not everyone enjoys the animation style when it comes to slot games. We get it, honestly, but this certain title has a unique charm going for it. We believe that it’s worth at least a few minutes of your attention.

How to play Robin Nottingham Raiders

The Armenian studios partnered up with the industry giant Yggdrasil and released the game (powered by GATI) in mid-summer of 2021. It quickly caught on though not as much as other products published by the provider. However, it has been getting attention at an increasing rate over the last year or so.

Now, regarding the actual gameplay, the slot Robin Nottingham Raiders features a 4-row 5-column reel layout with 20 paylines.

The UI is straightforward, with all necessary controls located in a red area apart from the rest of the game screen. All of the relevant buttons are placed there, with the exception of “spin”, which is visible on the game’s actual display window.

Stake-wise the game isn’t meant to be played by high rollers since bets start at 20 cents and hit the ceiling at 10$ per spin. As with most of the provider’s games, volatility is fairly high and we can vouch for that as based on our test, we didn’t hit wins very often.

The RTP sits at 96.07% which is slightly above the average mark for this kind of slot. We’d suggest it’s an excellent place to start if you’re searching for a high-risk, high-reward game but there’s a catch. The base game spins can’t pay more than 500x the wager. However, the maximum bonus multiplier is 121,500x. Pretty wild!

Talking about “wild” things, let us take a look at the symbols. There are 12 regular ones, the chicken drumstick, the 2 swords, the cup, a hitting bat, a bow, a quiver, and a series of characters (beggar, knight, maid, Robin Hood, King). The special symbols are:

  • Wild – Represented by the coin, this type of symbol can substitute for any other in order to form or improve upon any existing winning combinations.
  • Scatter – Appearing in the form of a wooden sign, getting 3 of these will trigger the special bonus feature.

Robin Nottingham Raiders Features

The game also features its fair share of bonuses that can help players greatly increase their winnings. Ranging from the simple yet high-paying coins to the almost full board of wilds. Let’s check them out!

Robin Nottingham Raiders Wild Respin Feature

During the base game spins gold coins can appear on top of the regular ones. Those are collected on a bar located near the reel set.

Once 9 of them have been collected you will be awarded a respin where the gold coins will be randomly placed on the playing area. Those will act as wilds and based on your luck, you can win a fairly good sum!

If the feature is triggered on the same spin that activated the free spins bonus mode then the respin will be played out first.

Robin Nottingham Raiders Free Spins

Landing 3 or more scatters in the main game will award 15 initial spins. Here, the chance of collecting gold coins is much higher while collecting batches of 3+ wilds will award 3 additional spins and add 3 wilds on the game board.

Here the wilds remain on the board but change positions at the start of each spin. If 3 or 4 wilds appear on the same reel then a multiplier of 2x or 3x is awarded accordingly. What’s really a shame is that the bonus free spins feature can’t be purchased.
