Girls with Guns was quite an entertaining video slot from Microgaming. Girls with Guns II, officially known as Girls with Guns: Frozen Dawn is its natural sequel. Fans of the original game will like what this game has to offer, as it is very much in the same vein as its predecessor. However, the similarities may be “too much” for others hoping for a touch more originality.
The betting menu and design of the imagery and reels are very much like the original Girls with Guns game – there is not much new to write home about here. However, the symbols have taken on an Arctic look, as our heavily armed bombshells tackle in a new foe, in a new region. Girls with Guns: Frozen Dawn comes with a free spin bonus and a randomly triggered feature. Here is what you can expect to see with each of these bonuses:
This occurs randomly on a spin. Normally, it will be a non-winning spin which initiates the feature. Once activated, you will see girls fire their weapons at symbols, turning them into prizes. This is like the bonus mode in Microgaming’s Tomb Raider: The Secret of the Sword.
Once activated, you will start with twelve free spins. It doesn’t matter how many satellite scatters you land; you’ll always get twelve free games. The spin round is played with one of two sets of special wilds, and they include:
- Frozen Wilds. These will remain sticky on the reels for three spins. However, if you fill an entire reel with them, that reel will remain frozen for the duration of the feature.
- Magnetic Wilds. Wild symbols appearing on the fifth reel will walk across the reels to the first reel on the subsequent spins. Once on the first reel, it will remain there until you run out of turns.
