Have you ever wondered why there aren’t any slots that feel more like real action games? Well, think no more because Play’n GO has released a title with RPG (role-playing game) characteristics. Let’s check it out!
Staying true to its name, the story takes place in a magical city that’s built on top of flying mountains. Clouds can be seen whirling in the distance creating obscure shapes while the purple wizard enhances the gameplay with his spells, as he is seen on the left side of the screen. The logo of the game is found near the top right corner of the interface.
Mechanically, the game differs quite a bit from what we are used to. Instead of the classic reel-after-reel action, here any winning symbols are destroyed while at the same time forming wilds that fall down. The game doesn’t really look or feel like any other title we’ve reviewed which is why we can’t recommend any similar slot. However, if you are a fan of the developer we’d advise you to check out “The Green Knight”. For now, though, let’s see how this game works!
How to Play Cloud Quest
The game consists of 5 rows and 5 reels. 3 or more matching symbols that connect vertically, horizontally, or diagonally comprise a winning combination. The controls can be found below the reel set allowing you to adjust the stake, enable the autoplay function, check out the paytable, or simply spin. Further customization options are available through the in-game menu.
Cloud Quest features 6 low paying and 3 high paying symbols. The first come in the form of a book, a potion bottle, a shield, a magic wand, two green daggers, and a red sword. The most rewarding symbols are the wizard, the male, and the female character.
The game’s special symbols are:
- Wild – Any 3-symbol win will be destroyed while the middle symbol transforms into a wild. It substitutes for all other symbols to comprise winning combinations.
- Power Stone – Whenever this symbol appears, it will fill the power meter found near the right side of the reels. It gives you a chance to trigger Super Powers.

The game might look difficult to learn but it becomes really interesting when you get the hang of it. Let’s see how its different features work!
The power meter consists of 10 sections and every power stone win will fill it up. When all the wins have been collected the meter’s arrow will spin. One of the following will be granted if the arrow stops on one of the highlighted sections:
- Five of Fortune – All wins are multiplied by 5x
- Emblem of Endurance – Initial wild symbols are cleared only if they comprise an all-wild combination
- Scatter of Success – All the symbols act as scatters. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet
- Mark of Multitude – All winning combinations create wild symbols
Three power stones fill up 1 section, four of them fill up 2 sections, and five of them fill up 3 sections.
If enough symbols are cleared to fully expose the “BONUS” word, found behind one of the board’s rows, the player will trigger the bonus round.
At first, you’ll need to select one of the three characters. You will be randomly awarded between 5 and 20 free spins. 3 extra spins are awarded every time you defeat a monster.
The mode consists of 5 stages, each one coming with increased winning payline combinations. The bonus round is played on a different reel set consisting of only one row and three columns.
In order to advance to the next stage, you will need to defeat some monsters. Based on the symbols you land on you will inflict damage to the monster. If all 3 marks are on the payline then you will instantly defeat the monster. Advancing to the next stages works as such:
- Stage 1 – 2 wins to advance
- Stage 2 – 3 wins to advance
- Stage 3 – 4 wins to advance
- Stage 4 – 5 wins to advance
- Stage 5 – 6 wins to win the grand prize (100x total bet)
