Bouncy Balls 2 Slot Review

More than 11 years have passed since the original Playtech title came out and the crazy balls have found their new home under the wings of Eyecon. Get ready to feel some nostalgia as we delve deep into how the new iteration of this classic game works!

Kicking things off with the aesthetic aspect of the slot, you’ll immediately going to notice an abundance of butterflies and birds tweeting as they fly around the two big trees found at the sides of the screen. The rest of the background consists of an opaque green scene reminiscing an open valley. The symbols appear in the middle of the screen but there aren’t any reel set boundaries dividing them. The logo of the game is seen near the top left corner of the interface.

The classic payline system has been substituted with the cluster wins model as winning combinations are formed by 5 or more horizontally or vertically matching symbols. All symbols in a cluster disappear and the remaining, as well as new symbols, drop down to fill any spaces left behind.

If you do some digging you might be able to find a demo of the original Playtech title but don’t be discouraged if you don’t as we have a couple of other recommendations. These are none other than Reactoonz and Reactoonz 2 by Play’n GO as they are very similar when it comes to their features and gameplay-wise. For now, though, let’s get back to the game in question!

How to Play Bouncy Balls 2

The game consists of 5 rows and 5 reels. As we usually see on Eyecon titles, the controls including the spin, autoplay, and bet adjuster can all be found at the bottom of the interface alongside the in-game menu options which allows the player to find out more about the game and further customize the gameplay.

As for the stakes, bets start at $0.10 and go up to $10 per spin. Bouncy Balls 2 is a low volatility title so small winning spins are far more likely to occur than big ones. The slot’s maximum exposure is 10,000x your stake while the RTP is average at 95.29%.

Bouncy Balls 2 features 6 paying symbols. These come in the form of yellow, green, blue, orange, purple, and red human-like balls. The latter colored ball is the most rewarding symbol as getting 9+ of them will award 10,000x the stake.

The slot’s special symbols are:

  • Scatter – Represented by the “free games” orb, getting 3 or more of these symbols will trigger the free spins feature. It only appears in the base game.
  • Power up ball – A special symbol that only appears during the free spins feature. One or more trigger the power grid feature.

Game Rules

Bouncy Balls 2 Features

Don’t let the big symbol grid trouble you as the game’s rules are easy to understand and put to use. Let’s check out the slot’s special features.

Free Spins

The feature starts after at least 3 scatter symbols have landed and all cascades have finished. The spins start on the base 5×5 grid and continue on it until the power grid feature has been triggered. The grid size is increased to 6×6 and free spins continue until the power grid feature is triggered again.

This process continues, each time the power grid feature is activated and increases the grid size by 1, until the grid turns to an 8×8 area. Once again, the free games continue until one or more clusters appear. The feature ends when there have been one or more cascades on the 8×8 grid.

The feature is played using the same wager as the initial base game round that triggered it. Unfortunately, the feature can’t be purchased.
